$50,000 Awarded at the First Tulsa Idea Challenge

Eighteen Tulsans took home $50,000 in prize money at the inaugural Tulsa Idea Challenge, a two-day workshop and competition held at OSU-Tulsa. More than 250 people participated, 85 percent of them first-time entrepreneurs, working in randomly paired teams to break down a problem and build an actionable solution using exercises developed by Builders + Backers. Top honors went to Our Safety Drone, a system helping schools identify campus threats and improve response times, which won $25,000.
